LTC Alumni Exemplary Leadership Award

                     *Accepting Nominations Now*

In celebrating the 10th anniversary of Leadership Tri-Cities, the Alumni Association created a new award to recognize Leadership Tri-Cities graduates who have demonstrated the values and goals of the program.  Similar to the "Sammy", the LTC Alumni Exemplary Leadership Award honors commitment to the community, volunteerism and outstanding leadership qualities, but will be bestowed solely to graduates of the Leadership Tri-Cities program for discrete leadership acts.

This purpose of the award is to:

·         Elevate public awareness of LTC's community value by showcasing the service performed by LTC Alumni.

·         Publicly recognize LTC Alumni for community leadership service performed.

·         Encourage LTC graduates to take on community leadership positions after LTC graduation.

·         Encourage community non-profit organizations' use of LTC graduates.

Nomination Guidelines

·         The nominator can be an LTC alumnus or any community member.

·         There is no limit to the number of nominations that will be accepted.

·         Self nominations will be accepted.

·         Past recipients will be eligible for selection based on new acts of exemplary leadership other than those recognized by the previous award.

Award Criteria

·         The award will be given in recognition of specific, discrete leadership acts.

·         The leadership acts are not time dependent, but must have been performed after graduation.

·         The leadership acts may have been performed in an organization, volunteer or paid, and is not just for "service." If the leadership act is in a paid position, the leadership must be clearly "over and above" the position's usual expectations.

·         Nominations for the Award should describe the leadership challenge, the leader's approach to meeting the challenge, the reasons the leader selected the approach, why the leader was successful, and the benefits to the leader's community.
