The LTC Alumni Association sponsors a luncheon with guest speaker each Friday, September through June.  All Alumni and current class members are welcome to attend.  Event locations and topics are typically announced 1-2 weeks in advance of the event and RSVPs are requested.  Cost may vary, but an attempt is made to keep the cost at approximately $10 per person, which includes the cost of the lunch.  The location typically is rotated among different venues in Richland, Kennewick, Pasco and West Richland.

Special events or tours are sometimes substituted for the normal First Friday luncheon (for example past tours of the Energy Northwest facilities or the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center).  The December First Friday event is typically a social event without speaker.

2009-2010 First Friday events included:

• Information about the new CBC Leadership Program
• Kathy McMullen from Ben Franklin Transit, discussing challenges they face in the current economic climate
• Melissa Andrewjeski, speaking about issues of concern at the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center
• Larry Jecha from the Benton-Franklin Health Dept, speaking about the H1N1 virus
• Deidre Holmberg, Principal of Delta High School, speaking about the school, its mission, and its first year successes and challenges
• State Legislators discussion and Q&A
• Coyote Ridge Corrections Center tour
• Energy Northwest - Columbia Generating Station tour
• Darrick Dietrick from Basin Disposal, speaking on the economics of recycling in our community

The agenda for 2010-2011 has not yet been set.  Please keep an eye on this page for updates.  If you have ideas for First Friday topics, please contact Matt Nash at mattn@dustdevilsbaseball.com or one of the other LTCAA Board members.
